I don't cook, now what?

Hi Reader,

So, I know that a lot of the times that people want to transition to a plant-based lifestyle, they naturally start cooking.

Usually because they already cook, they’re now just making adjustments to their routine.

But what if you don’t cook? Does that mean you have to be kicked out of the club? Of course not.

You may not know how to cook, like to cook, or just not have the time, (or just want a darn break) so I’m gonna give you some options and ideas about what you can do to adopt and maintain a plant-based/vegan diet when you are, how should we say this... culinarily disadvantaged.

First things first, I doubt you’re ordering out everyday. Maybe you are, but at some point you may want to save a buck or two. These are my thoughts on how you can manage your day.

Breakfast: You may want to lean into

Smoothies

Overnight oats

Cold cereal/plant milk

Yogurt parfait

Avocado toast

Lunch:

Salads, topped like a champ

Toppings:

  • Beets
  • Canned beans
  • Carrots
  • Roasted peppers
  • Cucumbers
  • Avocado

Wraps/Sandwiches

Smashed chickpea

Cucumber and cream cheese

Spinach/tomato/avocado

Dinner:

Store bought soup

Dinner salad

Spiralized noodles/vermicelli noodles with raw veggies and asian style dressing

Ok, but WHAT IF…you REALLY don’t cook..like you burn boiling water don’t cook? I still got you boo!
